SELECTION PROCESS

Nominees are identified annually either automatically having been conferred with a TBE award during the previous calendar year for individual professional, managerial or entrepreneurial performance/ or having been nominated by an already inducted member of the CHOF during an announced open nomination period.

All nominations are subject to verification of basic eligibility ie to confirm that they hold an eligible position as an Executive or non-executive Board member in private enterprise or public institution domiciled in Ghana. This is done by our dedicated research consultants.

Nominations are then authenticated to confirm that the information used to support the nomination is factually correct. Where information is found to have been deliberately fabricated the nomination is nullified. Where incorrect information is found to have been forwarded inadvertently, the sponsors of the nomination would be requested to correct the inaccuracies within a stipulated time frame.

Nominations are then examined by our dedicated assessment consultants to confirm that a nomination fulfills at least six of the ten criteria. However the organizers reserve the right to accept nominations of award winners who fail to meet this criteria but in their judgment have done exceptionally well in at least three of the criteria which they fulfilled.

Following these procedures, a short list of nominees is then forwarded to the Jury of Assessors (JOA) for their consideration.

The JOA them holds several meetings either physically or virtually to assess the short listed nominations. Scores are apportioned to each nomination

Each nomination that scores a 600 or more out of the maximum score obtainable of 1000 qualifies for induction into the JOA.

Successful nominees are inducted into CHOF at a five star gala induction event to be held in Accra which will gather the cream de la cream of corporate Ghana, top government officials whose institutions are engaged in supporting and facilitating economic and business activity as well as stakeholder groups such as civil society leaders, the diplomatic corps, the media among others.
